Match Recap
The night kicked off with a rowdy session of Touch the Fence with the top ATC juniors. We learned there
is strategy and skill to TTF: ATC juniors 1, Denver Pro Leaguers 0.
Thank you to Arapahoe Tennis Club and Cary Hodges for great courts and feeding us!
After backing myself in singles early in the draft, Blue Team captains, Jeff Loehr and Jerad Harbaugh,
knew the odds were in their favor before the match even started, taking out Lew Miller's and my Red
Team 3-1.
Red team's Dietz Fry won a league leading 6th match on the slow hard courts teaming up with Lauri
Makikalli to take down Rok Bonin and Ari Rosenthal 6-4, 6-2. Rok didn't even get mad. Ari conceded
Dietz's volleys were "frustratingly good."
On the fast hard courts, Blue Team's Bryan Knepper was throwing down some darts with Julian
d. Cary Hodges and Michael Malvitz 7-6, 6-4, and Jerad Harbaugh and Jeff Loehr d. Lew Miller and Nik
Yip 6-4, 6-4.
Lastly, Justin Abrams was too good, getting a 3rd win for the blue team. I tried to attack the slice
forehand, but it was too consistent (as well as his serves and returns). Luckily, a few of Justin's "worst
games of his life" helped keep the score a respectable 6-4, 6-4.
