Match Recap
Thanks to Alex Davydov (and some lengthy intros), some quality tennis courts, and good players, there
was some great tennis played at Glenmoor Country Club. The Red Team defeated the Blue Team 3-0.
At #3, Michael Hao and Ari Rosenthal got a 6-4, 6-4 win over Michael Malvitz and Ethan Horn. Ari was
excited to get his first win in the Denver Pro League, now that he realizes all wins and losses go into Lew
Miller and Jerad Harbaugh's database to be recalled at opportune times over beers.
At #2, Rok Bonin was informing Morgan Schilling statistics Morgan had never thought about defeating
Zach Fryer and Dietz Fry 6-4, 3-6, 10-3. Neither Rok nor Morgan may have been aware of Dietz's stellar
super tiebreaker win record, but they went with an ideal strategy of "go big, or go home" with Rok hitting
aces and Morgan hitting a sizzling down the line return.
At #1, Yannik James and John Haywood got hot at the right time to take out Jeff Loehr and Jesse Ruder-
Hook 6-4, 4-6, 10-3 in a big serving, good returns, nice first volley pickups, with very little time for
returners to react to second balls (except for Yannik who used his 4 1/4" racket handle to hit some nice
dippers).
